We needed to try three different sizes, but that's because it was purchased for a 60 year old man, 220 pounds, 5'11". We ended up going with the 2XL and I did not need to hem or alter it in any way. The waist adjusters are definitely a plus! He wore this for his daughter's garden wedding (along with a floral tie and white short sleeve dress shirt) and it was perfect. I did wash the pants first and the material got a little "rough" looking. Ironing fixed most of it. But you could see the difference between the non-washed vest and the prelaundered pants. Overall, this was perfect, he looked great. Cannot speak to how well they will last however.

I read the great reviews, saw the pics and decided to purchase immediately. I was hoping for the best and wasn't disappointed. This combo fit me almost perfectly right out of the package. The pants were a little too long, but I hemmed them with magic tape and an iron. Packed it away for my trip, then ironed the entire outfit when I arrived. Got several compliments. Looked good, felt good. I definitely recommend.
